As a unique school community that has rich diversity in year levels (from Prep to Year 12) and a community that is geographically dispersed, the Parents and Friends Association's role at Newhaven College is to:
• create a sense of belonging for all families of the school community by intentionally bringing our community together;
• bridge school life and home life to create continuity for students;
• provide a parent perspective and act as an advisory to the school on parental proposed ideas and changes. To advocate for the school by providing support during challenging times to members of our school community;
• facilitate events and activities that bring the whole school together to create a greater sense of community;
• to raise funds for specific school projects that enhance the experience for students or specific families in need, e.g. play equipment in the middle school and scholarship fund; and
• offer fun activities for the students providing extra opportunities to create bonds with their fellow students.
